5 Home Exercises You Can Do with Your Kids Together



As we’re all aware of, exercise is not the kind of activity that’s only available outdoor, in fact, there are a lot of home exercises you can do with your kids. Doing this as a routine will offers many benefits for the health and growth of your little ones.

In these times and age where kids are required to have a strong immunity system, it’s necessary to keep doing exercises to get to that point and maintain it.

So, without further ado, here’s 5 home exercises you can do with your kids together:

1.     Gymnastics

Gymnastics can be done easily inside your house or outside on your home’s yard. Do gymnastics in the morning where sunlight is shining through. This way your kid will get vitamin D from the sunlight while also doing exercises.

2.     Ball or balloon throwing

If you have a wide enough yard, invite your kid to do some ball throwing while running. But if you don’t have a wide yard to play with balls, you can use balloon as an alternative instead.

Ask your child to throw the balloons into the air and then tell them to not let the balloon touch the ground by tapping them again. Despite being a seemingly simple exercise, this game can help develop the child’s motoric ability as well as their hand and eye coordination.

3.     Dancing to music

This one should be simple enough, play your child’s favorite song and invite them to dance along with it. This fun activity not only helps increase the flexibility, strength and endurance of your child, but also doing the repetitive moves in a dance helps them form muscle and train their coordination and balance.

4.     Jump rope

Another type of exercises that you can do with your kids at home is jump rope. Use a light rope that’s easy to hold by a child. You can do this exercise indoor or outdoor on the yard like balloon throwing.

Jump rope itself is considered to be an aerobic exercise that can help reduce blood pressure and fixes your sleep quality. By doing this exercise, the body will produce endorphins that can make your child to be happier, and as a result, reduce the stress they might be experiencing right now.

5.     Hula hoop

Doing hula hoop is very exciting and fun for any children out there, especially if done together with all family members. Though, make sure the size of the hula hoops fits with the child’s body so it’s easier to play.

The motion of rotating one’s hips while doing hula hoops is very effective to train their sense of balance. Not only that but this game is also helpful for the mom too if they’re looking to burn some fat.

That being said, just exercising alone won’t be enough if you’re eating fast foods and junk foods regularly. So, try to not eat fast foods or junk food nearly as much.
